Eastern Religions

By: Andrew Schwartz

There are three major religion which are very often compared: Buddhism, Hinduism and Maoism. The first two religions have common view on purpose of life. Speaking about Maoism, this idealistic movement situates far aside from each Hinduism and Buddhism. As it is one of the adaptations of Soviet-Communist pressure group, Maoism rejects theism: world continues living only in this place and at this time. Maoism is an exclusive philosophical movement, because it includes utilitarianism and the cult of individuality, the two concepts which contradict each other. From one prospective, it includes a utilitarianistic tactic which is based on communist viewpoint and refutation of capitalistic market. Conversely, the cult of persona is an entirely egoistic trend. In Maoism, reasoning which is deductive is used to decide on a political tendency dependable with communist philosophy; nevertheless, when the path of action is put into practice, conclusions of party leaders have to be blindly followed.

After a close analysis of the three philosophies of Eastern world, Maoism can be called the most controversial association, as measures of leaders who choose a course of act for the whole nation are prejudiced, while the general military and political trend tries to be objective, Hinduism which follows the standard of causality, is more impartial; on the other hand, religious principles as the initial source of indisputable knowledge as well make this idealistic trend doubtful. Buddhism, neither accepting nor denying the belief of causality, is more detached, because it leaves more liberty for further articulation and self conception by not decreasing the common laws to mechanism. Utilitarianistic tactic is also dependable with epistemological tendencies of Buddhism, given that people are allowed to choose for themselves personal value and belief system on their approach to spiritual development. That way, Buddhism is viewed as the most reasonable philosophical movement among the three trends which were analyzed.
