Are you fed up with yourself being a shrinking violet? Would you love to be the life and soul of the party for once? How about being confident enough to ask that person out that you have really liked for ages? Well here are 5 surefire ways that you can use to improve your confidence today.
1. Discontinue telling yourself that you cannot do something. Inform yourself that you can and then act the part. Make believe that you are confident and you will be! Go on try it. You will be !
2. Wear clothes that you feel comfortable in and get pleasure from wearing. It can be very appealing to try to duplicate what others are wearing even when it does not feel comfortable. Never ever do this! Dress in what makes you feel good. By doing this you will feel more self-assured and look more confident.
3. Make your mind up today, right this minute that you have had enough of worrying about what other people think of you. When you catch yourself in a negative frame of mind repeat this to yourself, 10 times with feeling, I am a confident and worthwhile person. (I use my fingers to help me count!)
4. Focus on your achievements. Remind yourself of your every success you have had. Write them down and refer to this list often. This will in fact increase your confidence.
5. Develop a sense of humour. Try to memorize good stories or jokes that you have been told and add them into your conversations. Remember to smile more often too.
